We all know that Penny Black was the first stamp ever. The less known fact is that the first world crypto stamp had been issued by Gibraltar.
Bitcoin, is the first cryptocurrency, and it was launched in January 2009. We can take this as the start of the crypto. For the first few years, the ones involved in crypto were mostly enthusiasts, early adopters, traders and “gamblers”. Years after that, crypto is a buzzword. Not only it’s here, but everyone today wants to do something with crypto. If you add “crypto” and “NFT” to your resume, you instantly seem much more important (at least to yourself).
Nonetheless, crypto as a technology could be very useful, especially in some areas.

Postal services around the world decided to accept crypto, and slowly change our hobby, they way it hasn’t been changed for years, maybe even hundreds of years. So far, for somebody aside, it was a small piece of paper with a drawing on it. And now, crypto is also combined in this.
Some of the countries who implemented crypto into their stamps are: Austria, Bhutan, Croatia, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Switzerland, Thailand and UN. But the first country which issued the crypto stamp was Gibraltar.
The first crypto stamp was issued on May 15, 2018. The sheet is composed of 4 stamps sharing the same design – the Rock of Gibraltar.
We had to wait for 3 years for the second crypto stamp issued by Gibraltar.
