In the Crypto Stamp series so far, we’ve explored Crypto Stamps from Switzerland, Gibraltar, Austria and Belgium. We’ve also covered Year of the Dragon crypto stamps. Today we’ll see some new crypto stamps issued since the last update.
We’ve already mentioned Austria in relation to crypto stamps, but the country has continued its crypto stamp series by adding a few more interesting designs. We’ll take a look at two of them - one already issued, and one upcoming.
In 2024, Austria issued four crypto stamps related to Emperor Franz Joseph and Empress Elisabeth. Two designs depict the young/living Franz Joseph I - Emperor of Austria, King of Hungary, and ruler of the other states of the Habsburg monarchy - and Elisabeth (Sisi), Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary, while the remaining two designs show their skeletons.

You can read more about the stamps here, but I’ll definitely quote this part:
“Sisi Skull - The sovereign of the unseen realms. This portrayal speaks to Sisi’s poetic soul, captivated by the myths of tragic heroes. She viewed death as a friend, a chance to break free from imperial obligations and find peace beyond the veil. Her untethered spirit now roams the Mediterranean waves she so loved, freed from the gowns of the Habsburg court. In this phygital tribute, Sisi’s skull embodies the serenity she sought, a life lived in fragments yet woven into eternity, now liberated to explore the beautiful mysteries of what lies beyond.”
“Franz Skull - The emperor beyond time. Does Franz Joseph still don his military attire in eternity, or has he set it aside to finally savour life without duty’s unyielding grip? This portrayal hints at the unspoken yearnings of a life devoted to governance, a man whose long, unbroken gaze watched the empire’s rise and its struggles. In this phygital stamp, he’s more than the ruler of Austria-Hungary — he’s a figure in search of quiet amid history’s endless parade, a symbol of loyalty transformed, pondering the nature of peace for the first time beyond this earthly realm.”
The next four designs from Austria are dedicated to Hedy Lamarr and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The idea behind these stamps is to honor the work of Hedy and Wolfgang.

Hedy Lamarr is important to Austria as one of its most iconic and pioneering figures, celebrated both for her Hollywood film career and her groundbreaking invention of frequency-hopping technology. Her scientific contribution laid the foundation for modern wireless communication, making her a symbol of Austrian innovation and talent.
And as for Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — his importance hardly needs an explanation.
In 2024, Croatia issued the sixth series of crypto stamps, this time themed around the famous cartoon The Amazing Adventures of Hlapić's Apprentice. The cartoon is based on the children's story by Ivana Brlić-Mažuranić. The stamps feature what are likely the five most important characters from the story.

It’s interesting to note that this is a continuation of Croatia’s cartoon-themed crypto stamps. The fifth series was dedicated to Professor Balthazar — a very popular Croatian cartoon about a kind-hearted professor who helped the people in his town… and occasionally, aliens.
