** Croatia is joining the eurozone! Croatia will be introducing the euro as its official currency from 1 January 2023, making it the 20th member of the European Union whose official currency is the “euro”. The euro will replace the Croatian kuna. The kuna (meaning marten in Croatian) has been the official currency of Croatia since 30 May 1994. In order to get used to the new currency and have a better idea of what it will look like, pricing in both currencies (euro/kuna) will become mandatory as from September 2022. This will continue to be the case after the official introduction of the euro and remain in place for one year, i.e. Until the end of 2023. It goes without saying that Leuchtturm has updated and adjusted all their products regarding euro sets of coins in circulation in line with the introduction of the euro in Croatia.
