This catalogue is different from all previous editions in several ways.

• The format is twice that of the old Netherlands catalogue (the same size as the Netherlands and overseas edition 2024)
• The catalogue is laid out in three columns
• The catalog has 304 pages and is printed on slightly heavier paper this year
• First released in a hard cover
• ALL images of the main numbers
• Additional information for NVPH members
• around 3,000 new prices and price adjustments compared to the Netherlands and overseas 2024 and 3,000 price adjustments compared to the Netherlands 2023
• A new and extensive chapter 'Postal annual collections' has been added
• Short article about '100 years of Children's Stamps' (the theme of the catalogue)
• New is a table with the prices for numbered roller stamps
• All series with two values ​​now have a series price
• Very large number of minor errors in text, typography and layout corrected

Format

The size is twice that of the 2023 edition. This gives a much better overview of all the stamps.

Price adjustments

Just like in the Netherlands and overseas edition of last year many price adjustments. Especially many increases for the Netherlands 2013-2022 but there are also reductions where the market gives reason for this.

Consistently, all series with two stamps are now also provided with a series price, just like in the NOZ 2024 edition

Over 2,500 text adjustments

Also this year again many sometimes small changes of text, punctuation or typography, partly based on comments from users. But there are also changes in philatelic relevant information and where necessary extra images have been added.

New chapter Annual collections

In the past, a list of annual collections was included in the catalogue. This list is now back in a more extensive form as a section with all the images.

Year table

This catalogue also includes the extensive year table for the Netherlands.

100 years of Children's Stamps

The theme of this catalogue is '100 years of children's stamps'. Here is a bit of history and some suggestions of what you can collect here.

The new NVPH Netherlands and Overseas catalogue will be available from your specialist dealer from mid-September.

About the NVPH

In 2018, the editiorial committee NVPH has adapted its publication agenda to accommodate and meet the wishes of the stamps collectors of the Netherlands. Until 2018, the NVPH committee published yearly a Special Catalogus of the Netherlands and Overseas Territories, and a so-called Junior catalog of the Netherlands.

The Junior Catalog is no longer be published and was replaced by the NVPH catalogus Nederland. The NVPH catalogus Nederland will be published the even years in September (2018, 2020,..) whereas the NVPH Special Catalogus Nederland & Overzeese gebiedsdelen the odd year in September as well (2019, 2021,...)

The first edition of the NVPH catalogus Nederland 2019 catalogs only the stamps of the Netherlands. The content is more extensive and provides all necessary information such as plate numbers, perforations and types of post stamps and, where possible, other details, errors and misprints. Are also present the stamp booklets, airmail stamps, postage due, service marks, telegram stamps, internment stamps, machine brands, blueprints, postage paid stamps and a special section roll stamps perforation. This 1st edition again contains many additions, text changes, improvements and extensive information including types and perforations.

In short, a bit less than the NVPH Special Catalogus because sections such as pre-war stamp booklets, first day covers, plate errors, stamps on covers are missing in this edition (as well as the overseas territories).

 The first edition was published with the 16th edition of the Blueprint was added and also a transparent and black perforation meter.  The catalog commission of the NVPH intended to make this catalog user friendly to worldwide by including a glossary of common terms in use in the catalog in several languages (English, Spanish and Chinese).
