NVPH Special catalogus 2022

In its 2017 edition, the editorial committee of the NVPH (this stands for Nederlandsche Vereniging van Postzegelhandelaren or in English the Dutch Union of Stamp Traders) Speciale Catalogus Nederland & Overzee Rijksdelen invited all the readers to report errors present in the catalog to make it more accurate. The 78^th edition of this catalog corrects all the errors notified by the catalog readers. In its press release, the committee is grateful to Mr Van Grinsven’s contribution and informed that they will continue in the next editions to improve the correctness of the information provided via this encyclopedia on the Dutch and Netherlands Overseas Territories stamps.

79th edition is a case bound, specialized catalog of the Netherlands & Colonies, includes varieties, stamp booklets, FDC, ATM, Antilles, Aruba, Dutch Indies & Surinam to 1975. Including a separate booklet plate varieties & abbreviations list Dutch/English/Chinese, valuations in Euro, new and unused!

The 79th edition contains many additions and changes and  new chapters/sections.

The most important information is:

• Prices for mint and used stamps before 1930 remain unchanged provided they are of good quality. Prices remain stable after 1930, besides the importance of the offer for material of the semi-classic/modern period.
• To facilitate the identification of the booklets of 5 stamps of Queen Beatrix, with the contribution of Mr Hazelhoff, the committee introduced a new section in the catalog dedicated to these stamps.
• Inclusions of new varieties discovered for the Prestige Booklet (Prestigeboekjes) including prices updates
• The issues discussed in the section 'Catalogus Kraamkamer' in the monthly magazine Filatelie have also been reintegrated, including the errors & varieties observed in the Jubileumserie of 1923.
• Revision of the First Day Cover section by Mr. Walraven with interesting information for the collectors
• Development of the grid postmarks cancels (PuntStempels or Coded postal obliterators) to increase the interest of collectors for the postmarks of the classic period.
• Update of the literature list by Mr Storm van Leeuwen and Mr Vellekoop to stay up-to-date with the literature on the stamps of the Netherlands
• Inclusion of the latest issues of the Netherlands,  the Netherlands Antilles, Aruba, Curaçao and St. Maarten.
• Complementary volume for the varieties and new errors making it easier to hold together the catalog and the "Plaatfouten" booklet without getting back and forth to the pages
• Several text changes and improvements to make the catalog more transparent and accessible, also in response to comments received from the catalog readers.

Enclosed in supplement in this catalog, the deluxe proof no. 19 of the NVPH.

The catalog commission intended to make this catalog user friendly to worldwide by including a glossary of common terms in use in the catalog in several languages (English, Spanish and Chinese).
