Davo is established in The Netherlands in 1945, as publishers of pre-printed one-country albums. The first album published was about The Netherlands with the title ‘Nederlandsche postzegels in den oorlog’. In 1953, the famous Dutch artist M.C. Escher designed the company logo well known in the philatelic circles before his work became famous. This logo portrays four pigeons which fly to the four winds. M.C. Escher also designed several Dutch stamps see the N.V.P.H. nos: 278, 542 and 543 Netherlands Antilles see the N.V.P.H. nos: 209 and 210. Although DAVO changed its logo in the recent year, this fantastic and unique logo is still in use for the album production.
Over the years, DAVO expanded the production of albums to almost every West-European country and became in the 70’s one of the most popular brand for the philately world. Nowadays, DAVO counts a 100 employees located in Holland and Poland. The company offers its services to the postal administrations of 25 countries for the publishing of philatelic books, documents and souvenirs. Collecting without borders is part of the success of the brand.
Today, DAVO has developped a portfolio of albums, of high quality and excellent finish, for more than 70 countries and territories. The composition of the countries is always the same as that of the luxe albums. All prices for standard-luxe albums, listed in our shop, are priced per volume, without mounts, including cover and slipcase.
Each country is produced in one or more volumes, according to the number of stamps issued.

Is your DAVO stamp album getting too full? If you insert supplement pages in your album, over the time, your album may get too full. Empty DAVO binders are available for each country you collect to store your growing collection. You can purchase additional binders with the volume number of your choice.
Supplementary pages: Supplements for the Netherlands and the Overseas Territories albums appear in November each year for the stamps which have been issued in the previous year. For other countries, the supplement pages generally appear in March and April.
