Leuchtturm EXAKT Solar digital calliper made from light weight carbon fiber composite material. Solar cell or battery operated. Switchable from inches to millimeters and with a 6-digit LCD display. The digital caliper with LCD display has a measuring range of up to 150 mm. Unit of measurement: 0.1 mm. Accuracy: 0.2 mm. Zero reset button for differential measurements. Depth gauge. Complete with batteries, ready to use.
A zero setting is possible in every measuring position, which enables differential measurements. With depth gauge for measuring inner diameters and steps. Dual power supply: if the brightness is above 200 lux, the power is supplied via the solar cell, if the brightness is below 200 lux, the battery is used. Since the caliper is made of carbon fiber composite, it is very easy to use and particularly gentle on the measuring objects (e.g. coins). Switchable from mm to inches. Including battery (1x CR2016).

Leuchtturm, a century of history. The company was founded in 1917 when the lithographer Paul Koch created the KABE publishing house in Aschersleben. KABE was the abbreviation for Koch & Bein. Bein was the name of his business partner. The KABE publishing house published first stamps and later also coin albums under the brand name "COMET". Paul Koch had to sell this first company in the 30s.
After the war Koch established a new firm in Hamburg in 1948: Leuchtturm, which also produced stamp albums. Today, Leuchtturm is the biggest exporter of philatelic and coin accessories. To strengthen the strategic position of the company, Leuchtturm acquired the rights of the french MOC albums in 1990 and finally in 1997 the KABE publishing house which has reunified both publishing houses established by Paul Koch.
