The Leuchtturm Illustrated Album Pages Hong Kong (size 270 x 297 mm/13-hole system) are printed on non-ageing wood and acid-free card (170 g/m 2 ) in high-resolution black and white offset print. Colour printing is consciously avoided. This allows you to immediately spot the missing stamps in your collection.
SF protective covers in sizes which match the stamps, made from clear, anti-glare polystyrene film, free from chemical softener are glued to the card of the albums. The protective covers hold the stamps in place and prevent sticking. They also protect your collection from dust and moisture.
Many of the Leuchtturm illustrated album pages are also available without SF protective covers in a “regular” version.
The individual characteristics of similar stamps which vary in e.g. colour, perforation or printing process are noted on the respective album sheets. This only applies to stamps with Michel (major) numbers and includes the year where required. At all times we aim for a harmonious and aesthetically pleasing presentation.

Leuchtturm, a century of history. The company was founded in 1917 when the lithographer Paul Koch created the KABE publishing house in Aschersleben. KABE was the abbreviation for Koch & Bein. Bein was the name of his business partner. The KABE publishing house published first stamps and later also coin albums under the brand name "COMET". Paul Koch had to sell this first company in the 30s.
After the war Koch established a new firm in Hamburg in 1948: Leuchtturm, which also produced stamp albums. Today, Leuchtturm is the biggest exporter of philatelic and coin accessories. To strengthen the strategic position of the company, Leuchtturm acquired the rights of the french MOC albums in 1990 and finally in 1997 the KABE publishing house which has reunified both publishing houses established by Paul Koch.
