Press Release

This edition of the Michel Catalog Australien Ozeanien Antarktis 2023 (N-Z) ÜK 7/2 supplements Part 1 published last year, with the countries whose names begin with the letters N through Z. Popular collection areas included are, for example, New Zealand, where we have now been able to complete the elaborate conversion to colour pictures, Samoa, where the overprinted stamps of recent years present collectors with exciting challenges, and New Caledonia, where we have now listed the post office-owned personalised stamps in more detail.

This volume also contains much of interest for both, country collectors and collectors of motifs. There are territories with restrained issuing policies, such as Tokelau or Niue, those with productive agencies, such as Palau or Tuvalu - in the case of the Solomon Islands, this era is already over again - or those that offer something for everyone, such as Papua New Guinea, where the most recent postage stamp issues are not so easy to obtain.

As with every new MICHEL catalogue, all price appraisals were reviewed and updated. Throughout the almost entire catalogue small or even pronounced changes were made, affecting mainly, but by no means exclusively, the more recent issues from around 2000 onwards.

The last black-and-white illustrations of the previous edition have now been replaced with new colour scans. Completely new images have been inserted in relevant places. The catalogue is thus even more collector-friendly than the previous editions. This is also due to the many textual changes and additions that reflect our continuous work on our catalogue data.

The editors would like to thank all contributors, dealers, examiners and collectors who have supported the preparation of the catalogue with advice, suggestions, price proposals and additional information. The catalogue contains all novelties of which we have been informed of until the end of January 2023. For further novelties, we recommend subscribing to the MICHEL-Rundschau or the MICHEL-Online. In addition to the new issues, the MICHEL-Rundschau provides information on everything important in philately.

We wish all readers much joy and relaxation in engaging with their collection and this new edition, which will certainly be a competent helper for them once again.
