March 14 is known as Pi Day. This date is also the birthday of Albert Einstein (March 14, 1879). Also, on March 14, 2018, Stephen Hawking passed away. We already wrote about that in the article about Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking and related stamp issues.
Albert Einstein, was born on March 14, 1879, in Ulm, in the Kingdom of Württemberg in the German Empire (Germany). He was a theoretical physicist and is one of the greatest scientists of all times.

His most important, and publicly known work was developing the theory of relativity. That work changes the understating of space, time, and gravity. Albert passed away on April 18, 1955, in Princeton, New Jersey.
Albert Einstein is so well-known; I believe almost anyone who had Internet access would recognize his picture. Almost the same stands for the mass–energy equivalence, described by Einstein’s formula E=mc2.
Einstein presented this formula for the first time in 1905 in the paper titled "Does the Inertia of a Body Depend Upon Its Energy Content?".

This equation is extremely important because it describes the relationship between mass and energy. Energy (E) is equal to mass (m) times the speed of light (c) squared.
This formula implies that a small mass can be converted into a large amount of energy and that is the basis for nuclear reactions.
The theory of relativity compromises of two main parts: special relativity and general relativity.
Special relativity is based on two postulates:

General relativity expands this and describes gravity as the curvature of spacetime caused by the presence of mass and energy.
Since Einstein was one of the smartest people who ever lived, at the end of this article, let’s listen to few his words.
"If you can't explain it simply, you don't understand it well enough."
"Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow. The important thing is not to stop questioning."
"I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious."
"Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions."

"There are two ways to live: you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle."
"Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind."
"I am not only a pacifist but a militant pacifist. I am willing to fight for peace. Nothing will end war unless the people themselves refuse to go to war."
